Spring Highlights from Aera: Open House + Mass Timber Conference

March was a big month for our team—with moments that brought our community together and helped move the industry conversation forward.
First, we opened our doors.
We hosted our first Production Facility Open House in Nashville, giving friends, partners, and curious locals a behind-the-scenes look at how we’re rethinking home construction. Guests had the opportunity to tour the space where we’re fabricating the pods and panels for our first Aera homes, meet our team, and see our process up close. Everyone left with a custom-made Aera planter—crafted from the same cross-laminated timber (CLT) we use in our homes—as a simple keepsake from our process.

It was a meaningful milestone for us and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out to help us celebrate.
Then, later in the month, we were honored to participate in an impactful conversation at the International Mass Timber Conference in Portland, Oregon.
Our Senior Project Manager, Taylor LaForge, spoke on a panel alongside Anna Anderson (Lord Aeck Sargent), Laura Mattila (Metsä Wood), and Michaela Harms (Sterling Structural) about the innovations pushing mass timber forward. The session explored how process, logistics, material science, and connection systems are making mass timber a smarter, more sustainable alternative to traditional construction.

We were honored to share the stage with industry leaders and be part of such an important conversation.
